Documentation for creators

The creator guide to getting paid

This is the documentation, not a pitch. It explains how a sale gets credited to you, how commissions are held and paid, and what the founder sees when you apply.

How you get started

1

Pick a program from the board

Open the board and read the listing. It states the rate, what the rate is calculated on, whether the program pays on renewals or once per sale, and how long commissions sit on hold.

2

Apply in about a minute

Name, e-mail, where your audience is, and optionally a short bio and a note to the founder. No account, no fee, nothing to install. Your application goes straight to the founder, who decides.

3

Get approved and open your portal

If the founder approves you, you get a private magic link to your partner portal. It shows your rate, your attributed customers and every commission. Treat the link like a password.

4

Share it where it survives

Take your link or your discount code and put it somewhere permanent: your bio, a pinned comment, the description under the video. Then use the portal to see what actually converts.

How a sale gets credited to you

Programs use one of three methods. The listing tells you which one applies before you apply.

Your referral link

You share a link. The click is remembered in a cookie on the founder's own site, and the purchase carries it through to checkout. Simple, but it depends on the customer buying before the cookie is cleared.

A discount code mapped to you

Your audience types your code at checkout and gets a discount for it. The code travels with the payment, so it survives a cleared cookie and keeps working on renewals. It is also easier to say out loud in a video than a URL.

A pick inside a mobile app

Some apps ask new users how they heard about them, and your name is on the list. If the user taps it at signup, every payment that account makes from then on is credited to you, renewals included.

You never install anything, and none of these need an account with PolyReach.

How and when you get paid

What your rate is calculated on

Your commission is a percentage of each payment. Depending on the program that is either the price the customer pays, or the developer's proceeds after store fees. The listing states which one before you apply.

The refund-protection hold

Every commission starts in hold, 30 days by default, and only becomes payable when the hold ends. It exists so nobody gets paid on a sale that is about to be refunded. The portal shows the date each one clears.

Refunds and chargebacks

If a customer refunds or files a chargeback, the matching commission is reversed automatically against the same payment. That comes from the app's billing system, not from anyone's judgement.

The payout itself

The founder pays you directly, by bank transfer, PayPal or whatever you agree, and marks it paid in the ledger. PolyReach never holds or moves your money. It records what is owed, what was paid, and when.

Each currency is counted separately and never blended into one total.

Your partner portal

One private page, opened by a magic link. It shows every customer attributed to you and every commission with its date, amount and status. Anyone with the link can see it, so treat it like a password and do not post it anywhere.

Writing an application that gets approved

It goes straight to the founder, so a short honest note beats a template.

Say where your audience actually is and roughly how big it is. A small, specific audience is not a problem.

Say why this product fits the people who follow you. Fit is what the founder is judging, not just reach.

Mention how you would talk about it: a video, a newsletter section, a pinned link.

Link one or two pieces of your own work so the founder can see your tone.

What gets an application rejected

Copy-pasting the same paragraph to twenty programs. It reads exactly like what it is.

Applying to a product you have never used and would not use.

Inflated numbers. They are easy to check and they end the conversation.

The rules that keep this working

Disclose the partnership

Say plainly that you earn a commission. It is required by law in most markets, the platforms enforce it, and your audience thinks better of you for saying it than for being caught not saying it.

Do not oversell the product

Never promise something the product does not do. A customer who buys on a false expectation refunds, and the refund reverses your commission anyway. Overselling costs you twice: once in trust, once in the ledger.

No spam, no brand bidding

No mass DMs, no comment spam, no fake urgency or invented deadlines. Do not bid on the founder's brand name in ads unless they have told you that you may. These are the fastest ways to lose a program.

Questions creators ask

Do I need a big audience?

No. Founders are choosing who represents them, and trust matters to them as much as size. What matters in the application is fit: the people who follow you should plausibly want this product.

Do I need to pay anything?

No. Applying is free, there is no fee to join a program, and PolyReach does not take a cut of your commission. You do not need a PolyReach account to apply or to open your portal.

Can I join more than one program?

Yes. Each program is separate: its own rate, its own hold, its own portal view. The only real limit is your own credibility, so do not recommend two products that solve the same problem to the same people.

What if the customer refunds?

The commission for that payment is reversed automatically, matched to the original transaction. Nothing else is affected. On a subscription program, payments the customer kept stay yours.

How do I know the numbers are real?

Commissions are derived from the app's own billing system (Stripe, RevenueCat or Adapty), not from anything the founder types in. You and the founder read the same ledger, line by line, with the same dates and amounts.

What if the founder stops paying?

PolyReach records what is owed and marks every payout, and you and the founder read the same ledger, so a missed payment is visible to both of you. But PolyReach does not hold or transfer the money. The ledger is your evidence, not your enforcement.

Read a listing, then decide

The board lists every open program with its rate and what it pays on, and each offer page adds its refund hold. Applying takes about a minute and needs no account.
